Treatment Groups

The unique treatment groups have been taking place in Beit Noam for many years. In the framework of these groups, the participants are given the opportunity to express themselves, engage with their needs, ask questions about their identity, share their deepest desires and touch upon subjects related to social ties and any other matters that are of interest or troubling them.

Group participants share how they feel in their day-to-day lives, process the experiences and difficulties that they deal with, share their doubts, acquire coping mechanisms, boost their self-image and listen to their friends.

Each group includes communication assistants from among the staff – skilled professionals who help the many participants who are unable to express themselves verbally to use augmentative and alternative communication. The communication assistants do not express themselves; instead, they amplify what the participants who speak through supportive communication aids – technological aids and communication boards – have to say.
